Bouquets to Art 2013 at the De Young Museum

This past Wednesday we went to see the 2013 "Bouquets to Art" at the De Young museum in San Francisco. I think the last time I went was almost four years ago, and if you want to see what the previous years look like, you can go to my archives of March 2008 and 2009. It is fun to see how different each year looks. I usually go every year, but the past years, there has been one reason or another that we could not make it there. This is how it looked the evening we went. It was so misty and magical in the park.
I had zero hopes of seeing this lovely lady, as I thought surely they would close this exhibit off for the evening, but we were lucky enough to see her! She was just as beautiful as I remember her when I last saw her here.  I feel lucky that I have now seen her twice, because that painting is absolutely stunning! I'll let all the flower pictures speak for themselves, but for those of you who haven't seen my previous posts on this event, it is an annual flower show of sorts, that floral artist participate in. I believe they choose the paintings that they want to interpret in flowers. I tried to make sure the painting that they were representing is behind the arrangement, not an easy thing to do when there were hundreds of people there that evening! I'm pretty proud that most of my photos don't have the masses surrounding the arrangements. Enjoy!

This uploaded wrong, but I was too lazy to fix it. Basically it still looks magical outside when we left.

The prettiest flower of them all.......... We had a lovely dinner afterwards with this little lady.
