Loving the Changing Season

How cute are these two?! I picked up these cuties from Anthropologie a few days ago. Don't they look like they are wearing hip Anthro clothing? I normally don't fall for buying Christmas ornaments too soon in the season, but something tells me that these might sell quickly. I think they may even stay out year round, since they are just too darned cute.
Don't you love when all the bakeries start baking up flavors of the seasons? There is a new bakery in a neighboring town that just opened up called "Cake." The baker has a great resume, including a stint at Chez Panisse from what I hear. This little cupcake was amazing! Pumpkin cake so tender and light, with cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with crystallized ginger. Can't get more seasonal that this.
With the dropping temps, it is also nice to start cooking up a little hot cereal in the morning too. Forever I stayed away from the stuff. Very bad memories when I was a kid, and my mom would force it on us and it tasted like a giant glue ball. I'm over it though, and have dressed mine up a bit with lovely little dried fruits and nuts. I'm going to explore other grains to cook up in the morning. Does anyone have some good suggestions?
Currently working on this little wool jacket. I was playing around with different pockets yesterday, and I think I have come up with one that I like.
The rabbit flannel is so cute, and made out of 100% organic cotton. I think it is fun to pair a serious fabric like the wool with this fun little flannel. I can't wait to finish it.

I know I have taken a break from retro Friday. I haven't forgotten, I just need to figure out which photos to haul out and the stories that they will tell. I promise I will come back to it soon.

Going to the wine country this weekend with some friends, hope it doesn't get too rainy.  Hope everyone else has a fantastic weekend!
