The little gnome skirt sold yesterday, after being put up for only one hour or so! This makes me happy that others loved that fabric as much as I do!
On a whole other topic, look at this beautiful hydrangea I picked up at Whole Foods the other day! I just had to share how enormous these blooms were!
They look like to cheerleader pompoms. I just could not pass them up, and for once they had them priced rather inexpensively. These flowers always remind me of my home town. It seemed like they were in everyone's front yard. I didn't use to always love this flower, but I love how many different shades you can get of them. Anyway, thought you might enjoy the flower eye candy.

I'm off now to start on some projects!!
I love hydrangeas...just planted two more in the yard lately. Yesterday I cut a bunch to bring in, they dry so nice too...I can keep them around for an extra long time! Enjoy your sewing! I NEED to do something too!! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty color--love purple!!
ReplyDeleteFresh flowers in the house make it feel happy.
M :)
the hydrangeas are lovely and i look forward to the day your creations appear in milk. i can imagine it. the fabrics your comtemplating sound great ... love the idea of the flannel.
ReplyDeleteOh Elizabeth. Did you know that the iPad has an "undo" button? I know it now because it just erased a VERY long comment, that I just wrote to you. Arg!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's see...
I had said that I KNEW, without a shadow of a doubt that the little skirt would sell. I think you should make more in the same fabric. Don't worry if it is "more of the same"; I think folks will love that fabric. I would love to see a jumper in that fabric with a red cardigan. I think the fabric is good for either girls or boys.
My mom grows massively huge hydrangeas and brings cuttings into her home all summer long. I am trying my best, in this never ending heat wave, to keep two lace hydrangeas alive.
I am excited to hear that you will be working with wool and flannel. Seeing those fabrics makes me swoon - I love the fall. If I could have it my way, I would have autumn for 6 months of the year. Hope your trip to the fabric store is filled with new fall fabrics.
