Before I begin, blogger is annoying me on how some of these photos up loaded, so I will do my best to separate the months, because some of the photos seem to have uploaded stuck together, and I'm not tech savvy enough to figure out how to avoid this.
January started out with a bit of embroidery and baking.
A visit from my sis with her kids.
February starts off with making this black velvet dress, that took forever to finish, but I loved how it turned out. Look how cute Caitlin's Valentine card is that she made Cyrous.
March... Caitlin turned 22, and we went out for a Chinese feast, and I made her favorite chocolate cake.
April was Easter of course.
I made this cute special order, for an Etsy customer. We went to see Cold Play.(Below)
May we went to see another concert, this time it was Snow Patrol.
We attended my nephew's first communion. Nicole sent me the most gorgeous mother's day bouquet, below.
June was David's birthday,
followed by our 29th wedding anniversary!
July always makes me think of blueberry pie for the holiday.
I made BBQ ribs for the first time.
August, we went up to Humboldt county to see the fair, and visit our alma matter HSU
September brought this magazine in the mail all the way from London, featuring Nicole's designs
I was really enjoying the fall this year with all the beautiful colors of the season.
October, brought my milestone birthday of 50!
Of course this made my night, to see Alice Waters at Chez Panisse!
Our Halloween dinner party
November was a slightly productive month with sewing. I made this dress for Caitlin and managed to get two of these little capes (below) finished for the shop. One sold, and was shipped to Montana.
Thanksgiving season always brings bountiful food and friends together.
December of course is fresh in our minds, so you know the story here! Darn you blogger for smooshing these photos together!!!
It was so fun to chat with Nicole on Christmas!
Of course this is the calm before the storm.
Looking forward to the new year. I have a good feeling about it, but I never like to say it so I won't jinx it, but hopefully I'm right. As usual, I do not make new years resolutions, but the one thing I would like to strive for this year is making more things, including spending more time embroidering, and less time on the computer. Wish me luck.
2012 was pretty even keel I must say, it sure went fast though and the holidays really snuck up on me big time. I had a million ideas that never materialized, but now they sit on the back burner and perhaps they may get done in 2013.
Happy New Year! What are your hopes for the new year?
Hoping for a calm and peaceful YEAR!
