Caitlin's long awaited blouse

In my past post on this blouse, I wrote how terrified I was to sew this fabric and to use the new Bernina machine.... Fear no more the machine, or the paper thin silk organza fabric. I finished it!! It fits her perfect and I think she looks cute in it. I really don't know what my problem was. There were some tricky bits to it though, like the piping on the neck line and other small details, but the worst were the hemming of the sleeves. It was such a full circle, that it was not wanting to be folded under. I managed to make it look OK, but not as perfect as I would like. I have now fallen in love with this machine, and I'm on to new adventures with it.

  4. Omigosh, Elizabeth! That blouse is beautiful! You are quite the seam-tress. aren't you? I am asking for a new sewing machine for b'day in Aug or maybe Christmas. Do you recommend yours? Your daughter is a real cutie. Nerm

  6. I absolutely love it. What a wonderful job you did,. You really are so talented! Okay now about Laduree...The one we visited was on the Champs Elysees. We spent the whole night walking around and ending up eating at an Italian restaurant for dinner. It was wonderful...the atmosphere, the red wine, then dessert at Laduree. What more could I ask for? I'm so jealous you were able to live there for a couple of years! You are like my kindred spirit with your love for Paris! -Kitty
