Thanksgiving day was beautiful! It started out a bit frosty out.....
Then slowly the sun warmed things up.....
to a nice November glow.
Preparations for Thanksgiving started the day before with pie making....
one apple two pumpkin.
If it were not for Dave's help, I would have been more exhausted than I was! He did a marathon of dishes all day!!
Caitlin made two appetizers, stuffed mushrooms with pecans, and a very yummy batch of humus.
Turkey is almost done....
Table is set....
food plated up...
Pierre's cousin, Marlene came to celebrate.
Time for pie!
A spirited conversation....
and a little bit of hamming it up.
I sure hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving and enjoyed their day with family or friends.

Your photos are beautifully shot -- good work -- that lighting can be very tricky! I love your table setting, too, I'm going to keep my eye out for gold chargers for next year.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your family had a lovely Thanksgiving. Your photos are so nice--you have a real knack for it. Your girls are so cute!

sounds like you had a wonderful thanksgiving. the appetizers sound delicious. i now realize we always make hummus for holidays and we forgot to this year. the mushroom sound good. i wish my family were not so afraid of them.
ReplyDeleteWOW your pumpkin pie turned out really good...mine, not so much! I'm not sure what happened, but my apple pie was "the bomb," as my sister said, so I guess it all worked out! I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving!!
