Gathering supplies

Hello, sorry it's been a while. I have been getting started on fabric gathering for all the cute little items I will be making soon. These are just a few that I acquired this weekend. I have lots of linen, Italian cotton batiste, cozy flannels and other pretties.
My clothes will be made with care and detail, so it may be still a few weeks before everything is ready to be put on the Etsy site. All the fabrics I plan to use will be the best I can get a hold of! Natural fibers, like linen, cotton, and hopefully some organics like bamboo etc. For some fancy clothes I may do some silk, we shall see. It will evolve over time I'm sure. Other plans are to incorporate some illustrations that Caitlin will do for me, and we have also talked about doing some custom fabrics with her illustrations, through Spoonflower. Some of the items will have embroidery, and other fun details, I'm pretty excited to start. Today I will be cutting out some little spring weight jackets to kick everything off. Oh, and incase I didn't mention it before, I am doing little boys clothing as well. I think there isn't enough real interesting little boys clothing out there.
I also have to practice on my serger as well, I have watched the instructional cd that it came with over and over, and I think I will give it a spin today.

In the mean time, I will try and blog on other parts of my real exciting life (Ha Ha) and not stay so silent.

  12. I need the name of your etsy store - I am going to list your blog on my sidebar and I will put it under your name unless you have a different etsy store name. I can always change it later, but now that you have announced to the world your plans I want to help announce it too. Let me know. Carolina

PS - this "little people" store is PERFECT for you.
