Fabulous Friday

Hi! Didn't mean to disappear for so long. Been working on pieces for the shop and enjoying all the beautiful weather we are having in Northern California.  It took me a while to decide what to make with this really cute Liberty fabric. In the end, I thought I'd try to get two pieces out of this one yard
of Lillian Berry design. The next piece will be another style of top. I'm almost done with this
 peasant style blouse.
These are the cute little buttons that will be going on it. The top will be size 6mo. I would have made a bigger one, but that means less fabric for another piece. I do have more Liberty, and I think the next thing I might be making with it will be either toddler or at least size 5 tunic top.
These beautiful blooms are right outside my window, and they inspire me  everyday!
This bush has now fully bloomed from the last time I posted a picture of it. It always reminds me of a sweet floral fabric I keep seeing in my minds eye but never find.
None of these photos of the blooms are edited. That blue sky is what is happening right now. It is in the 70's today, with all the cute little birdies singing away.
This weekend I'm finally getting some shelving for a makeshift pantry. Our 1960's Mad Men era house just doesn't lend itself to storage of modern day packaging. It's off to Ikea for a solution to my bulging cabinets.
What are your plans for the weekend? Whatever they are, I hope you all have a good one.

  1. Those buttons are so sweet! Mother of pearl and heart shaped...two of my favorite things. Your weather sounds fantastic. We are enjoying the cold, even if I do whine about it. Today we've watched tiny snowflakes blowing through the air, melting as soon as the hit something.

  2. Always love a peasant blouse.
I am so jealous of your blooms and spring weather and I have to agree the green and white would make a beautiful print.
