Lazy Days of Summer

Just finished the little baby top, sized 3 months. I just sold the gingham one, so luckily I had this one to add to the shop. I'll be cutting out more things today, and getting ready for the upcoming season. Like I said in my last post, I don't want to be caught off guard for the holidays this year. I want the shop to be filled with fun gift items as well as clothing.

Things have been going at a snails pace here because of the heat, and now poor David has the flu! It is always so weird to get the flu or a cold in the summer. I think it almost is worse, given the heat. Just praying that I don't get David's flu bug and that he gets better soon!

Just got back from Target, and noticed all the back to school stuff out already, and all the summer items at clearance prices. I suppose it comes out in July now because of school starting in August for a lot of kids. It still just seems wrong though doesn't it, since summer really only just started?

Don't have too many exciting things to blog, but I thought I would show you this little top that I just finished. I really love making these, and I think they are quite versatile in a babies wardrobe. Next up, more bloomers, and then I begin the capes.

  1. I was out shopping Monday and noticed all the stores transitioning to fall. Even Pintrest has Halloween things popping up everywhere. Hope David feels better and that you are spared.

    1. I know, It seems like it will be here before we know it. Don't you wish you were a kid still where things seem like they take forever?! I remember when my mom would say, that my grandparents were coming to visit in two weeks, and that would just seem like an eternity. hahahah Yes, I hope I get spared from what he has, because it has been 5 days now, and he still feels yucky :(

  4. Very sweet top. I love the scalloped collar on the swiss dot. I have the summer cold now. I am on day 4 but at least my voice and some of my energy has returned in time to go to a concert I bought tickets to months ago.

    1. Thanks Jen! I'm still hanging in there and have not come down with it, but the poor guy is still not well, so it is a bad one :(
