Odds and Ends
I don't know about you but I love packaging, and I think that when it is done well, it really gives a good impression of a business or a gift giver. I've played around with packaging with my etsy shop and I think I have come up with a look that suits the over all look of the shop. When you receive one of my packages, it will be all dressed up just like the photos above. I love to coordinate the ribbon to the color of the garment that customer had purchased as well. It's fun for me. Last week I ordered some ribbon from Midori Ribbon , and received it today wrapped up so beautifully. This makes me want to come back and buy more! Such a nice surprise to see this. I felt as if I had given a gift to myself. I think more businesses should do this don't you? While living in France a few years back, I was always impressed with how stores carefully and beautifully packaged your purchases. Even buying flowers for the home was a delight, because they would wrap them up with beautiful ribbons and paper.
Do you have a favorite business that takes pride in their packaging?
If you are wondering what the ribbons are for.......more hats :)

Oh I love the packaging as much as the ribbon! It does make such an impression. Your packaging is beautiful; how pleased the recipients must be.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tricia! I have had some lovely compliments back on my packaging, so I think they do like it :)
DeleteYour packaging is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julia, I wanted it to be like they were receiving a gift.
DeleteBeautiful pictures in this post, Elizabeth. I always liked how pastries are packaged in foreign countries.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I remember our local patisserie would wrap up the smallest thing with such grand packaging. I think that was half the delight for me :)
DeleteYour packaging is lovely. I wish more retailers here went to such trouble.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like the paper! I loved watching your trip on IG, and figured my timing was perfect . . . there's nothing like coming home to an unexpected package on your front step!
