I just love these new napkin rings that I found at Pottery Barn, they say "Friends and Family."
My sous chef. The family was a great help with chopping and cleaning, so my back isn't on fire this morning.
David makes the best cranberry sauce every year. I really love it, as well as my little green friends next to them.
This year I bought a "Heidi Hen," organic turkey. It was very nice, especially the dark meat.
You have to have the annual pose right?!
Time for pie!!!
I made two pumpkin pies, and an apple this year. We are up to our eyeballs in pie right now, as well as plenty of sides and turkey. I have some wonderful "Cooking Light" recipes to use up the turkey, and bring the calories back down. I do have to have that yummy turkey sandwich with cranberries, and stuffing in it.......I know some think it odd to put stuffing in your sandwich, but oh well, I love it!
Home today relaxing and washing up, as well as avoiding all the chaos downtown. There is good shopping in our town, so there are tour buses of people coming through today and I'm sure the rest of the weekend. I think I will stay in and do something creative instead.
Hope everyone had a warm, happy day.
One of your prettiest tables EVER! Runner - love it, candle holders - love 'em, plates and napkin rings - adore adore, floral arrangement - wanna marry it!

Aww, thanks Dawn. I had so much fun making that arrangement. It has got me hooked into doing more unique ones instead of simple ones in a vase of water.
ReplyDeleteLooks and sounds like you had a wonderful time. Love the centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteNo early shopping for me today--other stuff going on.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful as always! Wonderful flower arranging. Is there anything you are not good at? Nope, didn't think so :0) Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Melissa
How lovely! Happy belated thanksgiving :)
ReplyDeleteThat centerpiece is wonderful! I have the same napkin rings! I grabbed them up as they were putting them out at Pottery Barn a few weeks ago. They also had some silver flatware that was very nice but I have plenty so let it go.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie

ReplyDeleteOh wow, that pie is gorgeous!! Everything looks great, love the napkin rings, the plates, and the food looks wonderful. I also do the same thing with my turkey leftover sandwiches, it does sound weird to have stuffing in it but it tastes SOOO amazing!! You have talent and an eye for beauty, the table and flower arrangement are very pretty. Happy belated Thanksgiving...can you believe it is DECEMBER?
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkin pie looks like a photo shoot from Williams Sonoma. It really does look gorgeous. I am totally serious, Elizabeth, if I end up in your neck of the woods, I am coming to dinner at your place. Yum! Carolina
ReplyDeleteHi Elizabeth, I'm a little late in stopping by ~ but I couldn't pass up the chance to tell you how much I enjoy seeing your beautiful table settings.
