OK, just a peek

Here are a few shots of what I have been working on. It didn't take me long to make these, but what did take time was finding all the supplies, like the sizing tags, having the labels made.
The embroidery was fun on this little guy.
Here is a shot of the tiny pants.......
these are a generous 6 months size, and great when baby starts to crawl, lots of puffiness to move around in.
Here is what it would look like more or less on that size of baby.
Pants are made of really nice natural linen, and 100 percent cotton gingham. It was hard to track down gingham that wasn't half polyester and cotton. I ended up finding this fabric at Britex in San Francisco. I'm only using the best I can find, which means all natural fibers. The buttons are wood.
This is a little pink version of the same jacket........
with a kitty pocket instead. The whiskers are free form, as in they will move around. I anchored them very tightly, so they should wash fine. I made one for my niece when she was a little girl, and my sister said it washed great.
right now I'm finishing a little linen skirt for this look, and I'm getting ready to cut out some dresses and more pants and bloomers.
I thought I'd let you see a sample.
Hope you like them!

  9. Hire a masseuse to work on your back when you are not sewing - you are going to need all the help you can get - THESE OUTFITS ARE ADORABLE. You are not going to be able to keep them in stock. Both your daughters are going to have to help you out. Timeless and precious. I think that details like seeking out the 100% cotton gingham and the wooden buttons are going to add immensely to the value of your pieces. You have left me awestruck - very, VERY, good work. Carolina
