Hello September!

September has arrived in all its golden beauty. The light outside right now is so beautiful and with a hint of crispness in the air.....Oh, but I know that it is still Indian summer, and we will be getting more hot temps soon, but just the fact that the light has changed is enough for me to dream of cozy days ahead.
The top photo is my new alarm clock. The neighbors are building what I think is a guest or in-law house, and they start work at 8:00 am sharp. Out comes the hammers and saws at that time, and if you had planned to sleep in, you are out of luck.
I'm currently working on a Liberty top and a faux fur vest, and I think they are going to be really cute! I decided to do all my cutting last week so I could sew this week, after labor day, but today was errand and laundry day, so no sewing.....and I just realized I have jury duty tomorrow! Not happy about this, as it is in a dodgy town that I'm quite terrified of going to. I thought if I postponed it, I would get a different venue, but I guess not. So if you never here from be again on here, I didn't make it out alive! Just kidding, I hope I get sent home or they don't need me, which is usually the case. Wish me luck.
We had a very lazy, lazy holiday weekend doing nothing at all special. We did have dinner with Caitlin and Cyrous on Friday night in the city, which is always fun. We also got to try out the new Nespresso cafe boutique in San Francisco with them as well.
The new San Francisco bay bridge opened up yesterday, and it is quite something. If you want to check it out go here.
What did you guys do for the holiday weekend?

  2. I don't mind doing jury duty at all. I find the process really interesting, but this court house is in murder capitol USA and I'm terrified to go over there! Also, I have to be there at 8:30 AM. I'm not a morning person, so this is horrible :(

  3. I am loving the light outside this time of year, too! It's just gorgeous! I am not a morning person either, so I know how you feel about early mornings. I hope everything is going well with jury duty - be safe.

The top and vest sound like fun projects. Is that a Liberty print?
I am not a morning person at all. Hope jury duty goes okay. I will cross my fingers for you.
