I read the recipe for their croissants, and I must say, they sound doable. I think I will wait for the fall to attempt these, and if I get good enough, perhaps they will be a feature at Christmas time. I read some of the reviews on Amazon about this book, and many people have made the croissants with great luck. I've always been a bit intimidated to make these, but I think I will give these a try.
Saturday, I ordered a new sewing chair. Given that my back is always ready to be unhappy, I decided that if I am going to attempt sewing again, I need a better chair for my back. Just got a call today saying that it has arrived! I'm so excited to start making some of the above patterns, for me and for Caitlin. The Cynthia Rowley one will be the first on the list, because I decided to use my Liberty of London fabric, that I purchased eons ago.
The other book that I ordered was this one. I have thumbed through it many times at the book store, and decided that I really liked several of the projects in this book.
Isn't this apron cute?!
I think I fell in love with it when I saw the the back of it.
Hopefully I can start sewing next week, after I get the sewing room back in order and cut some patterns out.
Here in Northern California, the weather has been rainy and quite cold, perfect sewing weather! I read we are still in for rain off and on, at least until next week!
